Thank you for thinking of High Point University as a source for quality perspective interns and employees.

Career & Internship Services at High Point University is a centralized office serving undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni. The office provides a wide range of career counseling and exploration services to students in all classes and majors while serving as a liaison between students and prospective employers.

Internship Postings
Employers may post openings for interns by registering on the Panther Career Network powered by College Central Network. There is no charge postings.

Or internship hosts may email a position description with the following information to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it :
- company description
- position responsibilities and qualifications required
- work location
- fixed or flexible schedule
- pay (if any)
- whether the position can be completed with or without academic credit 
- how to apply and who to contact with questions

Internship hosts must have at least one full-time employee who can serve as a co-educator, mentoring the intern and serving as a reference for questions. The host must have a policy discouraging harassment (in all forms) and liability insurance or worker's compensation. The workplace cannot be located in a private home. Responsibilities should align with what should be expected of a college student. Career & Internships staff will determine which experiences may qualify for academic credit.

Job Postings
Employers may register and post jobs on the Panther Career Network powered by College Central Network. There is no charge for postings.

Résumé Referrals
Approved employers can search résumés of High Point University students and alumni by registering with the Panther Career Network.

Career & Job Fairs
Each year several special events are conducted to help undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni make connections with prospective employers for career information, internships and permanent positions.
 
High Point University's primary career fair is sponsored by the North Carolina Career Consortium and held in November. It provides a forum for employers to meet High Point University students and provide information about internship and career opportunities.

The Non-Profit & Government Agency Information Fair is sponsored by the North Carolina Career Consortium in March of each year. It highlights internship and career opportunities with state, federal and private non-profit organizations.

The HPU Department of Accounting provides opportunities for businesses and accounting firms to interview recent accounting graduates.

Education majors at High Point University attend area Teacher Education Fairs held in February (in conjunction with North Carolina A&T University, UNC—Greensboro, and Winston-Salem State University).
